Hello Families,

I hope everyone is doing well. We are excited to finally get our meet season underway, as well as welcome our Mini Gators to the deck. Here are some important things we wanted to share with you all this week.

Team Rules at our Meets

With our first meet coming up this week, I wanted to review some basic rules we have as a team. We expect our athletes and parents to abide by these rules at all of our meets.

• Cheer Loud, Be Proud! We have a great group of kids and we want to create the best experience possible. Be enthusiastic and bring the energy to the pool deck, it will have such a positive impact on our kids!
• We will have kids seated in our team area by age. Kids need to be in their assigned seating area when they are not swimming. This is the best way to ensure your kid does not miss their race.
• If you will be arriving late or if you must leave early, please let a coach know ASAP. One absence we are not aware of can have a ripple effect on the entire team, especially with relays.
• In the event of inclement weather, DO NOT LEAVE THE POOL. We will notify everyone if the weather causes us to change plans. Just like our practices, always assume we will compete as planned until you hear otherwise from the coaches.
• Do not complain about an official, timer, or other volunteer. There will be judgement calls made at all of our meets, especially during the regular season. No one is perfect and everyone helping run our meets is human. If you have an issue, please see a coach.
• HAVE FUN! We get to be out by the pool with our friends all summer long! Let's enjoy it!

Meet vs Winchester (6/3)

Our first meet of the season will be this Wednesday at home against Winchester. We will not have practice Wednesday morning due to the meet. I will leave the schedule below. I will also leave a link to sign up as a volunteer. We cannot run these meets without your help and we truly appreciate you time and energy to volunteer.

Mini Gators Start This Week (6/4 & 6/5)

The Mini Gators Groups have been posted HERE on our website. Our Monday/Thursday Group will have their first practice this Thursday, June 4th, and our Tuesday/Friday Group will have their first practice this Friday, June 5th. Full season calendars for our Monday/Thursday Group and Tuesday/Friday Group can be found on our website.

Picture Day (6/4)

Everyone (including Mini Gators) need to arrive at 9:45a. We will get a team photo, have gameday for our Meet-Ready kids, and have our first Mini Gators practice for our Monday/Thursday Group.

Upcoming Events & Attendance Deadlines

Events to sign up for this week are as follows.

• 6/10: Away Meet @ Hartland
  • This is an away meet, but still in Lexington. Let's have a great turnout here!
  • Attendance Deadline is Sunday, June 7th at 5p

• 7/12-7/15: 2026 Conference Meet (@Spindletop)
  • This is what we work the entire season for! It takes ALL OF US. Hoping for a huge turnout here.

• 6/25: Kings Island Team Trip
  • This is for our Meet Ready Gators ages 6 & Over. Meet Ready Gators under the age of 6 can attend if a parent chaperone comes as well. There will be some sort of cost associated with this event (both kids and parent chaperones) to cover transportation, food, and park tickets. We will let you know what that amount is as soon as we know.
  • Attendance Deadline: Sunday, June 14th at 5p

Kickboards at Practice

Friendly reminder that all Meet-Ready Gators should bring a kickboard to practice.
