Izzy comes to us from Richmond, Ky. She just graduated from University of the Cumberlands where she was a member of the UC swim team. She is pursuing an education degree in P-12 Health and PE. Izzy began swimming at the age of 7 as a USA Club Swimmer and continued swimming until she graduated from high school. Izzy is an IM specialist and competes for her college team in the IM, breaststroke, and the 500 freestyle. Izzy was a member of the Midsouth Conference Championship Team, as well as a qualifier for the NAIA Swim Championship. In her free time, Izzy loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, and adventuring outdoors. Izzy is excited for another season with the Gators and can’t wait to meet this year’s team and get started on another successful season!
Jodi, a University of Kentucky student-athlete who is finishing up her junior year of school. Jodi is a member of the University’s Women’s Swim and Dive Team, and competes 1-meter, 3-meter and platform diving. She is currently studying Business Marketing and adding a minor in Political Science with hopes of pursuing law school upon graduation. She in from Tallahassee, Florida and has been diving since her sophomore year of high school. Before diving Jodi was a competitive gymnasts for close to twelve years. She is also an assistant coach for Kentucky Dive Club (KDC) and is eager to bring her level of experience and love for coaching to the IHCC Gators. Jodi is so excited to be coaching at Idle Hour this summer and cannot wait for an amazing season!
Kevin is no stranger to the pool. He has been swimming since the 4th grade on teams such as the North Lexington YMCA Tigersharks, Greenbrier Country Club, and Lafayette High School where he was team captain his senior year. Kevin also began coaching the swim team at Sayre during the 2025-2026 season. Kevin loves to swim all the strokes, but his favorite is freestyle. When he’s not in the pool he is a Spanish, Music, and PE teacher for ages K-6th grade at Providence Montessori School. Kevin is excited to bring his teaching experience to help our team. This is his fourth season on our staff, and he is beyond excited to meet our athletes and lead our team to a successful season.
Coach Dave Little grew up swimming for the Spring Lake Sharks, Lansdowne Gators & Lexington Dolphins. Dave has been coaching swimming for over 25 years, starting as an assistant coach in 2000 with the Cumberland Hill Catfish, then taking over as Head Coach in 2001. During his time as Head Coach, the Catfish went from the worst team in the Conference to having 13 undefeated regular seasons, 12 in a row (2014-2025), a win streak of 63 meets in a row dating back to June of 2013 & 4 MOWSC Championships in 2018, 2021, 2022, & 2023.
Dave officially retired from the Catfish after the 2025 season. Dave coached at Wildcat Aquatics (now known as KYA) from 2002-2014, as an assistant coach (2002-2005) & as Head Age Group Coach (2005-2014). Here Dave coached countless state champions & nationally ranked swimmers, and his swimmers broke almost every single team record & broke over 30 KY Swimming State Records.
Dave was Head Coach of the Lexington Catholic High School Swim Team for 4 years (20152019). In Dave’s 4 years at Lexington Catholic, the team went from tied for last place the year before he got there, to 1st place winning Back-to-Back State Championships in 2018 & 2019. Dave was voted 2016, 2018 & 2019 KHSAA Boys Coach of the Year & was selected by the National Federation of High School Sports as KY Boys Coach of the Year for 2016-17. In Dave’s four years at Lexington Catholic, the team broke every single Boys Team School Record & almost all the Girls Team School Records. 16 New School Records in total, 3 KHSAA State Records & several Top 10 Nationally ranked swimmers, including the 2019 Boys 200 Free Relay ranked #1 in the Nation in the NISCA high school swimming rankings.
23 years ago, Coach Dave started his own swim training program, Soul II Swim. He still owns & runs Soul II Swim as Head Coach/Owner and will continue to do so for many years to come. The success of swimmers from this program ranges from countless summer league High Point winners to swimmers that went on to make finals at Olympic Trials & everything in between. Dave is very excited to start a new chapter as an assistant coach with Idle Hour!
Ally is a current member of the University of Kentucky swim and dive team. Ally swam two years at Towson University before she transferred to UK. She just finished up her second year as a Kentucky Wildcat where she was a team captain. She specializes in backstroke and freestyle. She is obtaining a degree in interdisciplinary early childhood education with a minor in coaching. She is from Ballston Lake, New York and has been competitively swimming since she was in 8th grade. This year is Ally’s first summer with the Gators, and she is very excited to meet everyone!
Hayden is a student-athlete at the University of Kentucky and is currently finishing up her sophomore year. She is a member of the UK Women’s Swim & Dive Team, where she specializes in IM and freestyle. Hayden is majoring in Pre-Dietetics and has plans to pursue a career in nutrition, with hopes of working in performance and sports nutrition.
Hayden is originally from Greenville, South Carolina and began swimming summer league at four years old where she quickly fell in love with the sport. By age seven, she joined club swimming and has been dedicated to the pool ever since. Outside of training and academics, she loves spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. Hayden is beyond excited for the upcoming season and cannot wait to meet the team!
Trent is currently working as a Paraplanner at Ballast Inc., but has decided to come back and join the Gators again this season! Before his professional life, Trent attended the University of Kentucky, majoring in Accounting, Finance, and Management. While at UK, Trent was on the Men’s Swimming and Diving team for 3 years. Originally from Richmond, KY, Trent began his swimming career on the Arlington Alligators before finishing his high school career as a part of the Swimchester Sailfish, Berea Dolphins, and Madison Central High School Swim Teams. In his free time, Trent likes to hang out with his friends and family, as well as play golf or pickleball when the weather is nice. Trent also just wrapped up his fifth season as the Head Coach of the Lafayette HS Swim & Dive Team. This will be Trent’s eighth season with the Gators and is excited to see everyone again, as well as watching the team grow even more this summer. GO GATORS!
